Vibrant Sedona

Two hours drive from the Grand Canyon is Sedona. What makes it highly interesting are the vibrant colors of orange, red, and green.  The hotels, houses, and restaurants are so cool to hangout at because of their location with the surrounding view of the rocky hills. I happened to notice a sense of tranquility there amidst the hustle and bustle of being a tourist spot. Our visit to Sedona is one of the most interesting and remarkable experience in my life.

As we were walking at the commercialized street trying to explore what we can do for the day, we stopped by a shop to ask for an advise on where to go. The guy from the store hooked us on a tour to Sedona Pines Resort. He said, we just have to attend a short tour and after that we have a complimentary helicopter ride. Who can resist that offer?
We had no clue that the short tour was a 3 hour sales talk trying to sell us a timeshare. Have you ever experience someone sell you something persistently, that even if it sounds interesting you have a hard time processing all the info you are hearing? That was our challenge that day, saying NO because we don’t have a budget and it's not practical for us.

While we were waiting for our 3:00 ride, we drove to the Chapel of the Holy Cross

As soon as we got out of the area, the excitement of riding in a helicopter for the first time and getting an actual glimpse of Sedona while flying kicked in. Though it was only a 10 minute tour, it seemed very long to me. My eyes really popped out because of the breathtaking scenery.
