The skin is intact with non-blanchable redness over a localized area

Stage II
|
Involves partial-thickness loss of the dermis
|
Stage III
|
Involves full thickness loss, but bone, tendon, and muscle are not
exposed

Stage IV
|
Involves full-thickness loss with exposed bone, tendon and muscle
