Kare kare Recipe

               

Filipino foods are very rich in flavor. We use lots of garlic, onion, and other seasonings to bring out the richness in the meat. It may be hard to gather all of the ingredients the authentic kare kare recipe has but don’t be disappointed you do not need to have atsuete, pechay, sitaw, talong, and oxtail to make your own kare kare  because the kare kare mix available at the Filipino store completes it all. All you need is to do is explore your creative side in cooking.

Ingredients:

·         1 Pack Kare kare mix  (Filipino store)
·         2  cups water
·         3 tbsp Peanut butter
·         Fresh beef cut into cubes
·         1 Onion, diced
·         2 Garlic, minced
·         Salt and pepper
·         1/2 bundle Spinach
·         Bagoong (optional) 

Instructions:

·         Bring beef into a boil until tender. Add garlic, onion, salt and pepper.
·         Mix kare kare mix. Add peanut butter and spinach. Simmer for 3 minutes.
·         Serve with plain rice and bagoong on the side. Enjoy!
